Flyleaf:

Flyleaf's music was Christian rock with an edge as demonstrated in the lyrics to the song, "Cassie" ("Do you believe in God written on the bullet…Say yes to pull the trigger.") Their songs covered a multitude of downtrodden subjects such as hopelessness, depression, abuse, and broken relationships intertwined with messages of hope. Pint-sized singer, Lacey Mosley, peppered her angelic vocals with demon-like screams throughout the set. The Beltan, Texas band jumped, spun, climbed on and off amps, and possessed an insurmountable amount of energy and stage presence that is lacking in many live performances today.

Evanescence:

Evanescence brought to the Verizon their gothic and ethereal hard rock sound with sweet and soaring vocals by Amy Lee. Ms. Lee played keyboard and piano throughout select songs such as "Lithium" and the Doors classic "People are Strange". Gifted guitarist, Terry Balsamo, brought a heavier and more up-to-date style to Evanescence's new music. Balsamo recently suffered a stroke, but hasn't let that negatively affect his playing or performance in the slightest. Actually, the band's music and performance as a whole hasn't weakened a bit amidst the line-up changes throughout their existence. As a matter of fact, I like them even better now.
